SPOHR THE LAST JUDGEMENT SOLOISTS ANNOUNCED

A talented cast of soloists will join Mark, the orchestra and the Cambridge University Music Society Chorus to perform Spohr's The Last Judgement in March 2016 in London and Cambridge

British soprano Rosalind Coad studied at the Royal College of Music, the Opera School of the Royal Academy of Music, English National Opera Works and was a member of the Scottish Opera young artist programme where she covered and performed roles on the main stage as well as singing concerts and recitals. In demand on both Oratorio and Opera platforms, Rosie has recently worked with Opera Holland Park, Garsington Opera, OperaUpClose, British Youth Opera, Aldeburgh and the Oxford Lieder Festival.

Recently graduated from the Opera Course at the Royal Academy of Music, Anna Harvey regularly performs across the UK and Europe, especially in London, her university town of Cambridge and her home city of Sheffield. This season, Anna’s opera roles include Cherubino The Marriage of Figaro (Longborough Festival Opera/Welsh National Opera cover/West Green House Opera), Bradamante Alcina (Longborough Festival Opera) and La Grosse Dame Les Mamelles de Tiresias (Dutch National Opera). On the concert platform Anna has performed under conductors including Masaaki Suzuki, Jane Glover and Paul McCreesh, with ensembles including the Hallé, BBC Concert Orchestra, London Mozart Players, English Chamber Orchestra, Gabrieli Consort and The Bach Choir, and at venues including The Bridgewater Hall, Cadogan Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall and Lincoln Center, New York.

After graduating in music from St John’s College, Cambridge, Bradley Smith went on to obtain distinction and a dip RAM for his Masters in Vocal Studies at the Royal Academy of Music, where he recently completed his studies on the opera course with Ryland Davies and Audrey Hyland. Recent concert performances include Britten Serenade for Tenor, horn and strings, the Aria soloist in Bach Christmas Oratorio and Handel Messiah at St John’s, Smith Square and a recital of Schubert Lieder at St Martin-in-the-Fields as well as soloist in a programme Purcell at the Cadogan Hall. Opera performances include Don Basilio The Marriage of Figaro, The Scholar in Holst’s The Wandering Scholar, Buff The Impresario at the Edinburgh Festival, and Bastien Bastien und Bastienne.

Adam Green studied at St John’s College, Cambridge, the Royal Academy of Music, London, and the National Opera Studio. Winner of the Song Prize at the National Mozart Competition and the Great Elm Competition he was awarded the prestigious Ian Fleming and Sybil Tutton Awards. Operatic roles at English National Opera include Belcore (The Elixir of Love), Arbace (Idomeneo), Aeneas (Dido and Aeneas). Other roles include the title role in The Barber of Seville for Welsh National Opera, Il Conte (Le Nozze di Figaro) at the Musique Cordiale Festival and Iford Festival, First Mate (Billy Budd) with Daniel Harding and the LSO. His concert experience is extensive - Bach’s Weihnachtsoratorium in Frankfurt under Lutz Köhler, Brahms’ Requiem, Handel’s Messiah and Fauré’s Requiem at the Royal Albert Hall under Sir David Willcocks, Telemann’s Matthäus Passion at the Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh. Recent plans include James Macmillan’s Clemency at the Royal Opera House, a revival of Clemency for Scottish Opera, and Father in Hänsel und Gretel (cover) for Glyndebourne on Tour.
