A JOYFUL AND EXQUISITE PERFORMANCE FOR THE ORCHESTRA'S DEBUT AT KINGS PLACE!
27 SEPTEMBER 2016
On Sunday 25 September 2016, in an almost sold-out Hall One, Faust Chamber Orchestra made a very successful debut at Kings Place, London with 'Classicism according to Cherubino'.
Dazzling mezzo-soprano Katie Bray offered a wonderfully mischievous interpretation of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro and Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia. Astounding oboist Olivier Stankiewicz (YCAT 2016 artist and LSO Principal Oboe) amazed the audience with his breathtaking performance of Mozart's Oboe Concerto. |
The atmosphere was particularly cheerful and many audience members shared their appreciation and enthusiasm following the concert:
"it was utterly superb" "We loved the concert on Sunday which more than lived up to your aim of making music ‘fresh, comprehensible and inspirational’. It was a very special experience for us and we are very grateful." "What a super, absolutely wonderful concert! Pure music all the way through, just happened to be played on instruments and sung by very talented human beings, really great team-work!" "We enjoyed the concert enormously; everything was excellent so it's difficult to avoid superlatives for everyone." |
Well done everyone and thank you to all our supporters for making such amazing performances possible!
